Silent Auction

Bidding starts Friday & closes Saturday at Noon

This is our 6th Biennial RED DOOR Event! We are having lots of local vendors this year with lots of varied and interesting wares, lots of new features, as well as old favorites such as The Country Store, Odd & Ends, and an awesome Silent Auction. A fun Tailgate Lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall on Saturday!

• Vendor Booth Rentals are $75 for 2 days/$40 for 1 day, prepaid. 34 spaces are available on a first come basis. Rental deadline: 04/10/17. To reserve, contact Frances Stockley at 864-316-6587 or call the church office at 864-583-8167 for an application.

• Odds & Ends Nice, gently used items will be collected on the following dates. 
     Sunday: April 23rd, 12:00pm - 8:00pm
     Monday: April 24th, 10:00am - 8:00pm
     Tuesday: April 25th, 10:00am - 8:00pm
     Wednesday: April 26th, 10:00am - 8:00pm
     Thursday: April 27th, 10:00am - 12:00pm
We are also accepting children's clothing, toys, books, games, linens, old records, CD's, DVD's, & electrical items (NO computers, printers, old TV's). All items must be in working order! We will be accepting furniture as well.
Items NOT ACCEPTED are: adult clothing, bedding, cookbooks, diet cookbooks, textbooks, VHS, adult games, stationery, educational or teaching items.
Items SUGGESTED are: gifts for all seasons, decorations, paperback or hardback books, furniture, antiques, china, glassware, children's items (no car seats), and kitchen items.

• SET-UP: Prior to opening, we will need help pricing and setting up display areas. We will have BAKED GOODS, CASSEROLES, FURNITURE, ODDS & ENDS, and CHILDREN'S CLOSET areas, as well as the SILENT AUCTION. We will also be selling RAFFLE TICKETS at the door for $1 per ticket. Prizes are great RAFFLE BASKETS which include:
     1) Death by Chocolate Basket
     2) It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere Basket
     3) Just RELAX (a Mother's Day Basket)
     4) Family Game Night Basket
If you can purchase an item to contribute to the making of one of these baskets, please contact Tracey Bishop at 864-978-5010 or Joanne Kopchik at 864-494-1145. Volunteer sign-up sheets are available for all help needed. Stop by the large RED DOOR station, located in the Fellowship Hall and PLC, and check out the ways YOU can help!

• COUNTRY STORE NEEDS: We need jams, jellies, baked goods, casseroles, and pickled or preserved items of any kind. We have small 8 ounce jars available for your use if needed. If so, contact Tracey Bishop at 864-978-5010 or Tina Nichols at 864-590-5022.

• D-DAY! April 23rd, Sunday before Festival Opening on April 28th, we will be handing out signs for members to display in their yards. Please take one! It is a great way to spread the word throughout the area. The signs can be returned to the church after the festival closes on April 29th.

• MAN POWER: We need people to help set-up/break down tables on Sunday, April 23rd, at 12:00pm, and Saturday April 29th, at 4:00pm. We would appreciate your help!

• PAPER TRAILS: We have taxable donation forms and booth rental forms available. Contact Frances Stockley at 864-316-6587 or call the church office at 864-583-8167.

• CASSEROLE & SOUP PREPARATION: We meet every Friday between 9:00am and 12:00pm to prepare these foods in the PLC kitchen. PLEASE come and join us if you can!

• RED DOOR UPDATES: Keep checking for Red Door updates in the weekly bulletin, the newsletter, and on our St. John's website at www.stjohns-spartanburg.org.

• HOT DOG! When the festival opens on Friday, April 28th, we will be serving hot dog plates from 11:00am to 8:00pm for a cost of $5.00. A plate consists of a hot dog with trimmings, baked beans, chips, & coleslaw. STAY-EAT-SHOP!

• SILENT AUCTION: We are in need of nice Silent Auction items. If you are interested in donating an item pleasecontact Tracey Bishop at 864-978-5010 or Joanne Kopchik at 864-494-1145. We are asking that you send a photo and a small write up about your donated item. Bidding will begin at 9:00am on Friday, April 28th, and end on Saturday, April 29th, at noon.

• TAILGATE LUNCH: Football may be over until fall, but we'll be tailgatin' in the Fellowship Hall! Walker Stockley and Tina Nichols are preparing Brisket or Ribs, Baked Potato, Slaw, & Texas Toast from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Adult plates are $15.00 - Children plates (12 & under) $7.00. Ticket sales begin March 19 - April 26.
